Asian Pottery "Lǜsè de Shìzi" Amphora & Charger Plate-China

I purchased this item earlier this year for our collection simply because...well it is beautiful. I have never been a fan of porcelain from China, but have always appreciated their pottery. This was unmarked (no makers symbol or name) and took some research for accuracy.
This is Asian Pottery "Lǜsè de Shìzi" Amphora & Charger Plate imported by Three Hand's Corp. ( 13259 Ralston Ave, Sylmar, CA 91342) in the late 1990's.
The subject matter is focused on the Green Persimmons ("Lǜsè de Shìzi" in Chinese) and boasts matching vessel and platter.
Green Persimmons carry a rich cultural significance, often associated with luck and prosperity. In Asian cultures, the fruit is a symbol of perseverance, reflecting a deep understanding of inner strength, as well as a visual pun meaning " everything goes well as wished !"
In Buddhism, persimmon is known to be a spiritual symbol of transformation, a reference to its sharp and bitter taste when unripe (ignorance) which becomes sugar sweet as it matures and fully ripen (wisdom).
China has the largest population of Buddhists, approximately 244 million or 18.2% of its total population.
This was imported from China to Three Hands Corp. in California (blue stamp research) as a single non-handled neck finished and glazed vase and plate. ( plain and not as ornate)

Three Hands Corp. is part of a supply chain. A supply chain includes all the raw materials and parts that are made into a product and distributed up the chain for manufacturer and sale. In contrast, a value chain encompasses all the individual steps that are taken to create a marketable product.
Three Hands Corp. then converted to an Amphora style vase by adding two handles. Also, while at THC in CA, they decorated them with the Lǜsè de Shìzi subject matter. I CANNOT CONFIRM HAND-PAINTED.
all I can say about the ornamental display is the colors are great, and they match really well.
Has delayed crazing and added gilding on both items. This is common with supply chain imports to have this type of crazing mainly due to under firing and moisture. Crazing in no way diminishes the integrity of the pottery. They are not structural cracks, just blemishes under glaze in the base finish cosmetically making it appear more aged. Also common, is the gilded, as still today, these gold accents
have been added on ceramics and pottery to feign elegance and masquerading quality concerns.....in short...marketing illusions. Once Three Hands Corp. are complete with their revision of the vase and charger it entered for sale in the United States by an unknown vendor oh THC sometime in the early 2000's.
